The new home of Digital Art Meme, DAM 123 The cut

NF Digital Art Meme, DAM 123  (incl Abstract)

The new home of NF DAM and Abstract
I´m back to where it all started. I move them here as I have been reluctant to share details in how I created my artworks in the other two blogs. Mostly I think the Art shall stand alone. Giving too much details of the creation spoils it. This blogs name, Bildverkstan, means Image workshop. Here I can be more prone to give details. This blog is about learning and sharing and you can find a lot of useful links in the sidebar.  If I don´t want details in my original post I can do it in a secondary one that I link to.
NF Digital Art Meme, a meme for digital artwork. photo art and creative work.
NF Abstract is now included in NF Digital Art Meme.

The meme will allow any kind of digital art. You can post anything from photo art, straight from the camera, to complicated texture work. You can take a shot of your pottery and make it digital. As long as you are the artist. I hope to see some of the black and white artists I often see on Weekend in Black and White. You create good arts in your camera.
Now I´m better going down to business!

Many years ago I saw a painting much like this. It was on a lottery for artwork where I worked. I was stunned at the time. Art? Is that art? Now I know better. It is abstract art. And for this one there was no photo of course. I made it from scratch. I´m clever, right?

And that brings me to the Optional theme for next weeks DAM which is: Make it simple
But remember. it is Optional, you can post whatever art you like.
And to be looking ahead for the week after that I want you to create your own texture and ad it to the art you make simple. So, this optional theme goes for two weeks. Gives you plenty of time to find a great texture of your own.  Mmm... giving you a hint what to look for, one of my favourite textures is mud.

If  you want to share your Digital/Photo Art  on Facebook I have created a GROUP for that purpose. You can join if you like. Why not check it out! Would love to see you there.

Please visit my entry and as many other participants you can. I´d like this to be a living meme not just another linky list. So far it is a small meme, surely you have the time to comment on others. Thank you for participating. As you know I´m a busy woman but I always return a comment. :)
IMPORTANT!
If your blog ONLY allow GOOGLE+ responses I can´t comment on your entry.

You shall ad the link to your post in the linkylist. Not the URL to your blog or GOOGLE+, It´s a courtesy to you visitors, they find your post immediately. You shall have a backlink, and please, don´t advertise your own meme without having an image to share that corresponds to my meme.

  1. I'm confused. Are you suggesting we should or should not share details of how we achieved an effect?

I sometimes I don't share anything ---mostly when I'm pressed for time. Sometimes I share a little and sometimes I give all the steps.

I was an art teacher for most of my life and, as my husband often reminds me, I cannot stop teaching. I don't want others to copy what I've done, but I don't mind sharing how I did it. I started to use Photoshop over 25 years ago and I'm still learning. It's such a vast program, that I doubt even the designers each know how to do everything that can be done in PS.

    1. I mean that you should share what you want. Sometimes I feel that you HAVE to share the process. And I can´t help but thinking we lost some people because of it. If I go to an exhibition I don´t expect that the artist shares every detail of his/her work. But if I´m teaching...that´s another story.

  2. Well you have been busy reorganizing. This is nice and I think it works well for learning and for sharing. This way I don't have to be confused about whether I am doing DAM or Abstract. I love your "simple" ... and as simple as it is, I know from experience that drawing or painting a straight line is probably the most difficutl thing to do. I like it and I just took a photo that is very similar ... maybe I will use it for my simple next week. Good luck with this move ... I think it will work well ...

  5. Very interesting piece. Simplistic and yet fascinating. Reminded me of a Jet Trail in the sky.

  6. Thank you for visiting my blog. Yes, this is abstract art and people pay big money for things like this. This sounds like a fun new meme. I may join one of these days, now that I have a camera that actually takes pictures you can make out!
